Parents and Carers Have Your Say: Shaping Services for Children and Young People with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder

As many of you will know, in recent months, health services have been streamlined from three services across Cheshire, into two. Central and Eastern Cheshire Primary Care Trust (CECPCT) is the one that now covers east Cheshire. Jenny Hawkes, who is the Commissioning Manager for Women and Children within CECPCT, has been working with a group of professionals from a number of agencies to look at how the services for children and young people with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and also Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) are delivered and how these should be organised in the future. Jenny has already been in contact with parents whose children have been diagnosed with ASD would now like to talk to parents and carers of ADHD children. She will be coming to talk to PACC@MACC on Tuesday 6 November at from 12.30 til 2.30 pm. She is anxious to gain feedback from a focus group of parents.

Monday 10th March 2008 Guest speaker visiting. A mother with ADHD.

A mother who has ADHD is coming to give us a talk to tell us about her experiences and her life with the disorder. It will be great to hear the other side of ADHD from someone who has lived it, and how she now copes with her son who also has it.
